The Ford Motor Company produces a line of crossover SUVs known as the Ford Edge. Ford's first mid-size CUV to be sold in North America was the Edge, which debuted for the 2007 model year and is currently in its second generation. Within the Ford lineup, the Ford Edge sits between the Ford Escape and the Ford Explorer. It gets its name from a trim package of the Ford Ranger. Ford has also produced the model line as the Lincoln MKX (since 2019, the Lincoln Nautilus), which shares its foundations with the Ford Fusion sedan. Ford of Europe also markets the second generation, which sits in between the Explorer PHEV and the Kuga (Escape).
